NVS Transport Services – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of transport and logistics services ("Services") provided by NVS Transport Services ("NVS", "we", "our", or "us"). By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Definitions:
Customer: The individual or business entity requesting transport services.
Consignment: Goods or passengers being transported by NVS.
Service Agreement: A written or verbal agreement between NVS and the Customer for a specific transport service.
Services Provided:
NVS Transport Services offers:
Local and Interstate freight transportation
General logistics solutions
Specialized and custom transport options (upon request)
Details will be specified in a formal quote or agreement.
Bookings and Cancellations:
Bookings must be confirmed by writing (email or signed document).
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before scheduled service may incur a fee of up to 50% of the quoted rate.
Rescheduling requests will be accommodated where possible but are not guaranteed as they are based on availability.
Pricing and Payment:
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue ,rates are subject to change.
Payment terms are net 7 days from the date of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Additional charges may apply for:
Waiting times
Detours or special handling
Tolls, permits, or escort requirements
Overdue payments may result in service suspension or additional late fees.
Delivery and Liability:
While NVS aims for timely delivery, we are not liable for delays due to traffic, weather, or mechanical issues.
Customers are responsible for proper labeling and packaging of consignments if packing services is not a part of the contract agreement.
NVS assumes no liability for loss or damage unless due to proven negligence.
Claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of delivery.
Insurance
Basic carrier liability is included as required by law.
Additional cargo or freight insurance is the Customer’s responsibility unless otherwise arranged in writing.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
Provide accurate delivery instructions and access information
Ensure availability for timely loading and unloading of goods
Avoid shipping hazardous, restricted, or prohibited materials unless agreed in advance
Comply with all local, state, and federal transport regulations
Indemnify NVS against damages caused by unsafe goods, false information, or third-party issues
Prohibited Items
NVS does not transport:
Hazardous or flammable goods (unless agreed in writing)
Illegally obtained goods
Perishable items without adequate packaging
Live animals (unless under prior written agreement)
Force Majeure:
NVS is not responsible for any delay, loss, or failure of performance due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or accidents.
Termination:
We may suspend or terminate services if the Customer:
Breaches these Terms
Fails to pay on time
Engages in illegal, unsafe, or abusive behavior
Limitation of Liability:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NVS’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the specific service in dispute.
Governing Law:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in St. Lucie County, FL.
Changes to Terms:
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on our website or emailed directly to customers with active agreements.
